PLU exists to channel the energy, intelligence, and courage of young Ugandans into a disciplined civic force. We train organizers in every district, defend constitutional rights, and put forward leaders who answer to the people, not patrons.

General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is the Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People's Defence Force and Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda. A modernizer of Uganda's security establishment, he has built the PLU into a nationwide civic movement mobilizing citizens for patriotism, service, and national development.
